Sachin Tendulkar has been nominated for the Rajya Sabha . The ruling Congress Party has come up with this nomination in appreciation of the cricket idols phenomenol efforts in cricket field for the country. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has sent the recommendation letter to Home Ministry. Sachin’s wife Anjali earlier met COngress President Sonia Gandhi today morning and communicated Sachin Tendulkar’s consent for becoming Rajya Sabha MP. The BJP also has reacted warmly to Sachin Tendulkar as a member of Parliament and welcomed him to the Parliament. The BJP has also advised Sachin to take this nomination seriously and work towards the progress of people.
While there is a big expectation that Sachin should be conferred with the Bharath Rathna , the highest award, the Congress has thrown a surprise by nominating him to Rajya Sabha.
