Oru Kal Oru Kannadi review by MoonramKonam Now
Oru Kal Oru kannadi that is produced under Red Giant Movies banner and directed by M. Rajesh has released amidst some great expectations. Director Rajesh who is famous for his hilarious movies like Jeeva’s Siva Manasula Sakthi – SMS and Arya Nayan starrer Boss Engira Baskaran , has directed OKOK in his typical style. Has he get hit hattrick with OKOK movie? Let us see .
Producer Udhayanidhi has debuted as a hero with Oru Kal Oru Kannadi. Sexy Heroine Hansika is the female lead in the film . Director Rajesh’s main trump card Santhanam comes as the hero Udayanidhi’s friend and takes in charge of the comedy section.
OK OK Story :
Oru kal oru kannadi movie story is a typical Rajesh movie story with a guy falling for a girl and facing problems with that. How he encounters it with his friend and come out is the main storyline. As usual Rajesh has narrated it in his typical style laced with humor with a jet speed screenplay that leaves us wanting for more .
Udayanidhi has done a decent role for a debutant and fits into the role of a young guy falling for a girl well.
Hansika plays the typical girl who is wooed by the hero . Her sweet and glamorous looks have helped OK OK well, especially in the songs. She has tried her hand at some comedy as well and comes out unscathed.
Sanathanam is the king pin of OK OK. He sizzles in this friends role. His timing sense and one liners are just too good. Especially in the scenes where he admires Udayanidhi, the theatre comes to life.
Saranya as the mother of Udayanidhi has a role that she plays too very often these days. Though she does make us laugh, we worry that this talented actress has put herself into a net by repeating the same role in various movies.
Harris Jayraj has composed the music for this romantic comedy film. Harris has delivered well and already OK OK songs like akila akila, venam machan are chart busters.
Vivek Harshan has handled the editing department for Oru Kal Oru Kannadi very neatly and his contribution to the no sag screenplay is immense.
Balasubramaniem has handled the camera. He has underplayed in the social scenes and went full swing in songs picturisation.
M.Rajesh has put confidence in his simple formula of love story with comedy . He has used the songs well. He has made his actors gel well as a unit. He has concentrated on the screenplay to make the usual story look different. And he has done all this, well ! Rajesh has hit a hatrick of hits , No Doubt !
Final Verdict : OK OK is definitely worth watching . A nice decent family entertainer with lot and lots of rib tickling humor !
