Eminent Mani Ratnam’s next film Kadal shooting is in progress. Kadal starring Gautham and Samantha, is a love story that revolves around a church in Tuticorin. The Kadal unit was not allowed to shoot inside the church. Maniratnam has opted for a set that looks like church. Besides directing the project, Ratnam is producing Kadal under his production banner Madras Talkies. Eminent writer Jeyamohan has written the script of Kadal along with ManiRatnam. The music of the film has been composed by AR Rahman. Apart from the script, Jeyamohan has also penned lyrics for a couple of songs for Kadal.
