Kalavani heroine Oviya made a name for herself with a decent role in Marina by director Pandiraj. Now the sexy tamil actress is busy shooting for the tamil movie Masala Cafe by director – actor Sundar C. She is paired with Jai , The other pair in the movie are Vimal and Anjali.

About her role, Oviya says, ‘I play a bubbly, homely girl called Maya in Masala Cafe,which is full of humorous sequences.” When quipped about the Masala Cafe Oviya hot stills in the net, she said, ” There are six songs in all. I am part of five songs, one of which will see me sport glamorous outfits. In fact, this is the first time I have done a glamorous song.’

Masala Cafe shot extensively in Kumbakonam and Gobichettypalayam. Santhanam is featured in the movie which boasts comedy as its biggest plus.

Says Oviya, ‘Apart from Masala Cafe, I am working on Sillunu Oru Sandhippu which is being directed by first-timer Ravi. It features Vimal and me in the lead. I also have another untitled film that is being directed by Pandiraj assistant in Tamil”

All is well but why so much glamour , Oviya , when you can just appear in your Thavani’s and Churidars and sizzle the audience as in your first two films ?
