GARDEN PLANTS FADE IF NOT WATERED; BUT IT IS NOT SO N THE DESERT- WHY?
A plant in the desert gets water only if it rains. But even if there is no rain, plants exist in the desert. They don’t fall or fade. This is so, because the plants adjust according to the surroundings. Water is very rare in the desert. Many plants in the desert have very long roots. These roots infiltrate in the ground even from 20 meter to 40 meters. They absorb the humidity in the ground. Some other plants in the desert have very small leaves. The upper side is like wax. This is because of the reason that the humidity should not go out. At the same time, it is a wonder that the wax-like portion does not block the holes in the leaves.
Some desert plants conducts its process of photosynthesis through their stem instead if their leaves. Some plants create leaves during rainy season and shed them during summer.
