BOTTLE GAURD ADAI- RECIPE:
Big bottle guard -1; jeeraga sampA rice- 1 tumbler; tur dal- ½ tumbler; Bengal gram and urid dal- ¼ tumler- each; small onion- 100 gm; dry chilli-5; asafetida powder, mustard and cumin seeds- each 1 tsp; tamarind, curry leaves and coriander leaves , oil and salt.
Soak the rice and the dals for 1 hour. Scrap the bottle guard, after removing its skin and the seeds. Pour oil in the pan . after it is heated, add mustard, , cumin seeds, asafetida , chopped onion, green chili, coriander leaves and the scrapped bottle guard and sauté.
Grind the cleaned rice, tamarind and salt and add with sautéed mixture and sauté all. Pour the mixture in the heated dosai- tawa and cook on both the sides. Tasty adai is ready.
